All cases are reviewed by a Voluntary Disclosure Committee.
- Upon approval by the committee the customer/representative will receive a proposed Voluntary Disclosure Agreement for signature. Any modification of this agreement will render it void.
- The agreement must be completed and signed by the customer or their duly authorized representative and returned to the department within 45 business days.
- Subsequently, the agreement will be signed by the appropriate official of the Department of Revenue and, if required, by the appropriate official of the Office of the Auditor General.
- A signed copy will then be returned to the customer or their representative with specific instructions for the filing of returns and payment. Applicable forms will be provided.
IMPORTANT: Failure to comply with the terms of the agreement or other requirements of the program in a timely and accurate manner will render the agreement void and the customer will be subject to all assessment action deemed appropriate by the department.
